The manual Stripe webhook is how a charge reaches Keep / Review / Stop when Connect events are not already arriving.
What this is
One-click Connect does not add an endpoint on your Stripe account. If events are already arriving, skip this page and go to billing. Shopify merchants do not paste this webhook — the app receives Shopify order events. Square does not paste one either.
Use this page only when the wizard asks you to add an endpoint. The URL is https://api.verifylive.net/api/v1/stripe/webhook. The signing secret lets us verify the event came from Stripe. The call is recorded after the payment succeeds and does not cancel the payment.
Steps
- From your dashboard's onboarding checklist, click Register Webhook. Skip this if the wizard already moved you to billing.
- Copy the webhook URL shown on the page. It is
https://api.verifylive.net/api/v1/stripe/webhook. - Open Stripe Dashboard → Developers → Webhooks → Add endpoint.
- Paste the Webhook URL into the Endpoint URL field. Under Events to send, select
charge.succeeded,charge.dispute.created,charge.dispute.closed, andcharge.refunded. These four events are the manual webhook. One-click Connect does not add this endpoint. - After Stripe creates the endpoint, paste the Signing Secret into your VerifyLive dashboard's webhook field and click Verify. You'll see a green checkmark within 10 seconds.
Common issues
- Verification times out → Stripe's webhook delivery is queued. Wait 30 seconds and click Verify again. If still failing, regenerate the webhook (Settings → Webhook → Regenerate) and re-paste the new secret.
- You don't see
charge.succeededin recent deliveries → That event is not selected. Edit the endpoint and addcharge.succeeded,charge.dispute.created,charge.dispute.closed, andcharge.refunded. - "Invalid signing secret" → Copy/paste error. Regenerate and retry. Don't manually edit the secret — Stripe rotates them as full strings.
- Webhook keeps disabling itself → Stripe disables endpoints that return non-2xx responses too often. Open chat — we'll check what's failing on our side.
What "done" looks like
Your dashboard shows a green checkmark next to "Register Webhook," and the most recent test event timestamp updates within 10 seconds of any charge in your Stripe test mode.

If you're still seeing webhook failures, open chat with your Stripe webhook ID — we can pull the delivery logs from your Stripe account (read-only) and tell you exactly what's failing. See also:
